Local Exchange and Solidarity Network of Magnesia :

an alternative, local, social economy

 Local Exchange and Solidarity Network of Magnesia is an alternative, local, social economy that began in 2010 in the standards of similar others networks of foreign countries as a result of the economic crisis in Greece. It is an attempt that has about 1000 members and is housed in a building that has been given by the University of Thessaly for free. The network is an initiative of independent individuals sharing common values such as solidarity, mutual aid, equality, using an alternative way for the exchange of services (the Local exchange trading system, known as TEM).
