In July we visited Suzie at Palia Skala, region of North Evia.

 

She is a German woman who came to live in Greece 30 years ago. She began the project with two other friends of her, but after a while they decided to stay separately and live as neighbors. The house, in which Susan now lives, is built all by her, as well as the huge garden, full of trees and vegetables.

 

In the past, she was producing almost everything she was eating, but in that way she had no contact with anyone and felt cut off from the rest of the world. Now, she paints four hours a day and commutes some of her works with products / food, which can not produce by herself. She also makes painting classes three days a week. Painting is one of her passions (the other one is nature) as we can also see in her personal blog (http://artetierrapainting.blogspot.gr/).

 

Last but not least, one thing we will not forget is the toilet –the well known “bus station”.
