Our informal group was formed in 2013 to participate in the youth exchange "Voyage en Hétérotopie" organised by the French association Via Brachy and their Greek counterparts European Village, which consisted in discovering solidarity projects in Haute-Garonne, Ariege, Tarn and Tarn et Garonne in the summer.

 

After this experience, we, students, young graduates and young professionals, wanted to know more about these initiatives that share a vision of environmentally sustainable and socially fair world.

As a French-Greek informal group, we set up a transnational youth initiative entitled "An Oasis in he Crisis". We gathered once again to go further in our exploration.

 

On the weekends we went to visit social entrepreneurs from our respective areas. We came back together during summer to give a hand to the most inspiring projects both in France and Greece through two transnational trips.

This whole initative was an opportunity for us to acquire new knowledge and skills and to engage dialogue between French and Greek citizens that share the same issues.
